Diet and Nutrition
Diet and Nutrition are fundamental to our physical and mental health. What we eat, how we eat, when we eat, whether we enjoy our food, and what psychological implications it has for us, all go into determining how we feel about ourselves and profoundly affects the overall quality of our life. Despite its importance, Diet and Nutrition remains an area of confusion and debate. Weight management has become a national obsession, but nobody can agree on what is a healthy weight or how to achieve and maintain it. Many people struggling with obesity have lost weight and gained it back – “and then some” – over and over again. Is there a safe and effective way to lose weight and keep it off? Who decides what is our healthy weight? Is there such a thing as “too thin?” Can we make peace with our bodies even if we don’t look like fashion models and media stars? What is a healthy lifestyle, and how are we to fit it into our busy lives?
